Ryley Carlock and Applewhite Shareholder and IP Chair Renee L. Mitchell has been selected to Chair the 2009-2010 Executive Council for the Intellectual Property Section of the Arizona State Bar. Renee counsels clients on trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation and trade name, trade secret and patent litigation issues. She assists corporations, small businesses and individuals with assignments, licensing, branding, opposition and infringement matters. Renee also works with clients on due diligence matters to ensure that proper protection and documentation are in place for intellectual property assets. Renee also handles domain name registration, transfers and dispute resolution. Renee actively works with clients in developing trademark usage guidelines and intellectual property strategies. She counsels large companies and emerging growth companies on a full range of intellectual property matters. Renee also practices in the area of commercial litigation, specifically focusing on intellectual property issues. She first joined Ryley Carlock in 1998. She earned her law degree at Syracuse University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies and Public Relations from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In addition to active support and leadership in the Arizona State Bar, Renee is also admitted to practice in Nevada and is a member of the International Trademark Association. |
