| Rudy is the Managing Shareholder of the firm and Chairman of the firm's Executive Committee. He has also served in the past as the Head of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Rudy practices in the areas of commercial litigation and employment law and is rated AV® by Martindale-Hubbell®. Rudy was recently named in the 2008 Corporate Counsel edition of Super Lawyers® by Law & Politics magazine. Rudy was also named in the 2007 edition of Southwest Super Lawyers®. Rudy’s commercial litigation practice is diverse and includes representing clients in all types of business related disputes, including breach of contract, trade secret litigation, securities industries disputes, lender liability, racketeering, and construction claims. Rudy has extensive practice in representing clients in federal and state trial courts, including conducting jury and bench trials as lead attorney. Rudy has also represented clients before administrative and governmental entities in Arizona and New Mexico. Rudy also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to advising clients in litigation avoidance measures. Rudy’s employment practice is devoted to counseling and defending employers who are faced with claims of sexual harassment, disability, gender, age, race, national origin and religious discrimination, wrongful discharge, and employment-related tort and contract claims. Rudy also represents employers in contractual arbitration proceedings. Rudy also practices before various employment-related agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Civil Rights Division of the Attorney General’s Office and the New Mexico Department of Labor. Rudy received his J.D. in 1993 from the University of New Mexico School of Law where he was the Articles Editor for the University of New Mexico Natural Resources Journal and the recipient of the Moise Prize for excellence in legal ethics. Rudy received his B.A. in anthropology and political science from Amherst College in 1990 while he was a four-year starter on the football team. |
