RC&A Honored for its Participation in
the 2004 Phoenix Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Walk for the Cure
On January 27, 2005, the Phoenix Chapter of the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation held its Annual Awards Banquet.
Employees of Ryley Carlock & Applewhite received a number of honors
for their participation in the 2004 Phoenix Chapter of the JDRF Walk
for the Cure, which was held at Tempe Town Lakes October 30, 2004. Gina Zamora, Phil Guttilla and John Lemaster each received a “Golden Sneaker Award” for raising in excess of $1,000.00. Ryley Carlock & Applewhite received a “Gold Team Achievement Award” for our walk team garnering more than $10,000.00 in donations. In addition, our team captain, Gina Zamora, won the “Star Award.” The Star Award is given to individuals who are deemed by JDRF to be Champions of the search for a cure. Gina was given a Star Award and deemed to be the “Queen of Torts Star” for the JDRF mentoring work that she has done with RC&A and other law firms in the Valley. In addition to volunteering countless hours to assist the RC&A team, Gina also serves as a mentor for other law firms. In fact, she helped one law firm raise more than $6,000.00 in their first year of participation in the Walk. Congratulations to Gina, John, and Phil, and all the other folks who were such an integral part in the Walk for the Cure! |
