Biography
Lonny brings significant broad-based experience to the Real Estate practice area of Ryley Carlock & Applewhite, having substantial experience in all aspects of real estate acquisition, development, ownership, construction and financing. He joined the firm as a shareholder in 2011, previously serving as chief executive officer of Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C.
Lonny's initial legal experience was with the Office of General Counsel of the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C., and the Denver Regional Office of the Federal Trade Commission.
He has worked extensively and from coast to coast with office buildings; retail shopping centers; mixed-use developments; resorts, hotels and golf courses; industrial; housing and community development; and transit-oriented development. In addition, he has important experience with urban redevelopment and public financing agreements as well as commercial leasing, green leasing and sustainable development.
Lonny's representation of clients has included purchase and sale transactions of major real estate partnerships, land development, lending and borrowing. He represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation of many of the largest commercial leasing transactions in the Rocky Mountain region, and has also represented parties in ground leases, financing leases, build-to-suit leases, shopping center and other retail leases. Lonny has noteworthy involvement in the development, financing, management and sales of hotels, ski areas, golf and related properties. He is also a frequent lecturer on commercial leasing matters.
