Rodolfo Parga Jr.

Legal Secretary: Carmen Boggs

In his work as a litigator and trial lawyer, Rudy thinks like a CEO and business owner. His business focus is hardwired: while maintaining an active trial practice, Rudy spent eight years as Ryley Carlock’s Managing Shareholder overseeing the operations and financial success of the firm; for several years before that, he served as the leader of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Leveraging this combination of legal skill and business experience, Rudy excels at clearing away obstacles—through swift and steadfast advocacy in and outside the courtroom—so business owners can do what they do best: dream, build, accomplish.

When clients come to him with a business problem to be solved, Rudy finds a solution. He discovers the client’s core challenges, quickly assesses the merits, risks and potential outcomes, and pursues the strongest, most efficient approach for achieving the desired result. Understanding the toll litigation takes on a business, Rudy devotes substantial time to advising clients on proactive measures to effectively avoid litigation.

Rudy has extensive trial experience involving a wide spectrum of business issues. In particular, he regularly intervenes to help clients with high-stakes, high-profile business disputes, employment claims, and trade secret, unfair competition and restrictive covenant disputes. He serves clients in the financial, telecommunications, transportation, technology, health care, and higher education industries.

Trial Experience. Rudy’s significant first-chair trial experience includes representing clients in jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations. He also routinely advocates for clients before administrative and governmental agencies. Rudy is licensed in multiple jurisdictions, enabling him to litigate on behalf of clients throughout the United States.

High-Stakes, High-Profile Business Disputes. Rudy routinely handles complex litigation involving high-profile clients and high-stakes situations where there’s a lot hanging in the balance. He has successfully helped these clients overcome significant roadblocks—usually related to financial, reputational, marketplace and/or competitive interests—that, without effective legal intervention, would have significantly and adversely impacted their core business operations.

Employment Disputes. Rudy counsels and defends employers who face claims involving disability, gender, age, race, national origin and religious discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, and employment-related tort and contract claims.

Trade Secret, Unfair Competition & Restrictive Covenant Disputes. Rudy helps business leaders protect and defend their irreplaceable confidential business information—whether from internal forces or external threats such as a cyber-security breach. He has substantial experience representing banks, brokerages, and similar financial institutions in trade secret, unfair competition and restrictive covenant disputes before FINRA. He has a strong track record of achieving fast injunctive relief on behalf of his clients and successfully representing their interests in FINRA arbitration proceedings.
