Biography

An accomplished litigator at Ryley Carlock & Applewhite, Chris has extensive experience litigating large, multi-party cases, as well as smaller, two-party disputes in both state and federal courts. He has represented clients in a variety of commercial areas, including shareholder and lender liability disputes, breach of contract (including promissory note and guaranty cases), common law and securities fraud, tax appeals, wrongful termination and other employment issues, products liability, intellectual property, nursing home negligence and elder law, and collections on behalf of lenders and other judgment creditors.

He is an accomplished neutral who has resolved countless disputes through alternative dispute resolution, including the mediation and arbitration processes. Chris began developing his skills in law school, studying under one of the more accomplished educators in this area in the country, Professor Edwin Greenebaum. He has further honed his skills through his participation in numerous seminars, as well as "on-the-job" education by successfully assisting parties in resolving various disputes as a mediator and a settlement conference Judge Pro Tempore for the Maricopa County Superior Court. He is diligent in his efforts to bring matters to resolution, as evidenced by his high success rate in doing so. In 2011, Chris received the honorable distinction of being named by the AZ Business magazine to the 2011 "Top Lawyers List" for alternative dispute resolution. In 2012, he was once again named Best of the Bar for alternative dispute resolution.

Chris has successfully litigated various claims before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on behalf of debtors, creditors, and trustees, and was named to the AZ Business magazine's 2011 "Top Lawyers List" for bankruptcy law. In 2013, he once again appeared on the Top Lawyers List of the Arizona Business Magazine, was voted as one of Arizona's Top Lawyers by his peers, and was named one of the Top Alternative Dispute Resolution Attorneys.
